A specially trained Lifestyle Coach will help you learn new skills, encourage you to set and meet goals, and keep you motivated. Your coach will cover the CDC-approved Prevent T2 curriculum that emphasizes improving food choices, being physically active for at least 150 minutes each week, and developing skills to identify and overcome barriers to making lifestyle changes. A close partnership with your coach provides insight, inspiration, structure and accountability.
You will attend classes at a local site or if scheduled classes don't fit your lifestyle, you can elect to work with a LifeWeighs coach by phone. If you choose to work with a LifeWeighs coach, Cathy or Lynde will call at times that fit your schedule.
When you are ready to learn more about how you can prevent type 2 diabetes, talk to your provider. If a lifestyle change program is a good fit for you, your provider will get you started on your journey to better health.
